Background

The website is maintained by the ALCOLOCK group of companies [“ALCOLOCK”] to provide a secure repository for personal information of ALCOLOCK clients and to enable ALCOLOCK clients to conveniently order and pay for ALCOLOCK goods and services. This policy applies solely to information collected by the website [“the Information”]. Personal information of clients obtained by ALCOLOCK otherwise than via the website are subject to other privacy practises. Data ALCOLOCK collects from an ignition interlock device in use by a client of a government-controlled ignition interlock program is usually owned and controlled by the applicable government.

Collecting and using the Information

ALCOLOCK will only use the Information personal to an individual to respond to requests from that individual and to provide client service to the individual. Without limitation in this regard: to the extent that the Individual is a participant in a government-controlled ignition interlock program, ALCOLOCK may share the Information of the Individual with the applicable government; and ALCOLOCK may share the Information with third parties as necessary to fulfill a request, e.g. to ship an order, or to comply with applicable governmental directives. ALCOLOCK is not responsible for any misuse or disclosure of personal information occasioned by a third party that has received such information from ALCOLOCK pursuant to this Policy.

ALCOLOCK will expunge Information personal to an individual upon request from that individual, provided that such expungement does not cause ALCOLOCK to contravene applicable law. Further, should an individual cease to be a client of ALCOLOCK, Information personal to that client will be automatically expunged from the records of ALCOLOCK when permitted by law.

Log Files

ALCOLOCK uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personal identifiable information.

Security

In securing the Information, ALCOLOCK exercises at least the same degree of care as it uses with its own Confidential Information, but in no event less than reasonable care. Users of the website are responsible for ensuring that the applications used to access the website are free of viruses and spyware. Use of the internet has associated risks, and users of the internet accept such risks when accessing the website through the internet; ALCOLOCK is not liable for any damage resulting from the realization of these risks when using the website or any linked websites.

Notification of Changes

ALCOLOCK is free to change this policy. ALCOLOCK will always use Information in accordance with the policy published.
